The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) will be holding its 2008 Annual Convention in Los Angeles, California from September 3-6, 2008. As part of the Convention, the HNBA will once again host the largest Latino Job Fair in the country, providing law students with an opportunity to meet, interview and network with private, government and public interest employers from across the country.
The Job Fair will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. The registration fee is $175. The registration deadline is Monday, August 18, 2008. UM Law students are invited to attend “Unlock Your Potential: Strategies for Professionalism and Professional Development,” a dynamic program sponsored by the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, from 8 a.m. (registration) to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency, Downtown Miami. This program is a great networking event because it includes an impressive panel and is typically very well attended. If you are interested in attending the program, you can do so by mailing the registration form, which is available in the CDO Resource Room, to the Dade County Bar Association by Friday, September 26, 2008. The registration fee is $50 for DCBA members and $60 for non-members (if you become a member at the same time you register for the program, you will be charged the reduced $50 member fee).
